Come color with Nichole Montanez at this women's art retreat held in the shadow of Pikes Peak, nestled at base of the mountain in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado. Spend 4 nights and 5 days learning the art of portraiture while exploring Crayola crayon as a serious fine art medium – all while enjoying the scenic views of this mountain town and nearby destinations – including historic Manitou Springs.

A state of mind. An energized community. A place to quiet or expand the mind, often at the same time. Green Box provides exemplary visual and performing arts experiences through events anchored by our annual summer arts festival which started in 2009, along with a series of programming throughout the year, with something available every single day of the year."

What to expect

Each day will begin with a relaxing yoga session on the lawn, then breakfast prepared by our own personal chef. After which, we will walk over to a three-to-four-hour workshop in one of their private artist studios with access to the lawn and farm stand. Following class, we'll head to lunch. Afternoons will be for personal exploration except for 2 organized outings TBD. We will kick off our first night at a family-style, 5-course meal by our private chef. And we will conclude with a 3-course dinner. You will have the remaining nights to explore local cuisine.

What will you come away with?

This retreat is very much about exploring your creative side. You will learn to see and render the human face using every color in the box. You will come away with a better understanding of shading, undertones and building form. At the end of time together you will have a piece to take home along with a certificate of completion.
